Having entered the dusty barn, Jemma stood looking around. 

Although she felt annoyed by what she had gotten compared to her siblings, she suspected there was more to it than she realized.

Her curiosity was piqued when she found the scrawled note on the back of an old photo.

However, Jemma had her doubts about the note, despite trusting her father and knowing he would never intentionally lead her astray.

These were the writings of a man whose death was just weeks away.

Is it possible that they were the writings of a madman? Was what he said true?

Rotting Hay Bales

It had been decades since the old barn had been used. There was a lot of wear and tear and nothing had been maintained. Is there a reason he would want to leave this to his daughter while his sons got so much more?

As she navigated around rotting hay bales, she used her phone torch to light the way. 

The air was strangely scented, but she wasn’t aware of how close she had come to discovering the truth.

A Long Search

Despite searching the barn for an hour, Jemma found nothing unusual. She was on the verge of giving up.

She had even climbed the dilapidated ladder to check the old loft. She found nothing there either, but it gave her a different perspective.

Looking down at the barn floor, she wished she knew why her father left her this old place. It was then that she saw it.

From Above

As she stood above everything else, she saw something she had never seen before. There was something hidden between the hay bales and the wall.

When she realized it was hidden for a reason, she felt her hands shake. 

After climbing down from the loft, she ran to where she had seen the hidden doors.
