While staring at the pair, Jenna kept her distance from them. Taking a look around himself suspiciously, the man stood in the back of the store. It wasn’t clear why the man’s behavior felt strange, but something felt wrong.
From the moment he walked through the doors, he had a sour expression on his face. In spite of all this, Jenna couldn’t help but stare at the old woman. With her small bucket hat covering her eyes, she hung her head low, hiding her eyes from the world. A feeling of unease filled her stomach, and she wasn’t able to explain it. In the end, however, her heart broke when she saw the old woman’s face. There was a lot more to it than she had expected.
