Something Was Wrong

As he waited for the doctor to report what was wrong with his wife, he sat beside her bed in the hospital, comforting her.

She wasn’t experiencing this headache for the first time. They’d been bothering her for years. It was different this time, so severe that she was barely able to move or talk.

Her hairdresser was at the center of it all. But no one had realized it yet.

It Was Different

It wasn’t supposed to be frightening for 45-year-old Elvis to visit the doctor. Having been a regular patient for his checkups and flu shots for many years, he was more than familiar with the facility.

But there was something different about this visit. Cheryl, his wife, was lying beside him with her head wrapped in bandages.

When Elvis found her at home, she was passed out beside the sink, oozing blood and pus. There was something terribly wrong.

Happy Home

A typical dad living in Duluth with his wife and two daughters, Elvis Sheffield was just your average guy. He and his family lived in a happy home filled with love, joy, and laughter.

But all of a sudden, things took an unexpected turn for the worse. Cheryl went from being a ray of sunshine to becoming someone completely different.

It had been a perfect summer day when the chaos started. After a long day at work, Cheryl decided to go out with a few of her friends to enjoy some time away from the house.

With her hectic schedule at home and a full-time job, Elvis didn’t object when she took the afternoon to relax and enjoy herself. He wanted her to enjoy herself.

Everyone deserves a vacation, after all, it was summer. If only he had known the consequences.

In Love

Cheryl left at noon, promising to return in time to witness Elvis’ miserably failed attempt to cook dinner for the family. She had always loved watching her husband try and fail to cook them a nice dinner.

Their relationship was just as goofy as it was romantic, as they had always had a good dynamic between them.

But it wouldn’t take long for that to change. The couple had no idea what was coming their way.
