Waitress Liz Woodward had been working a long night shift and was already starting to wrap up one early morning when two firefighters came in to have breakfast. They, too, seemed to have come from a rough evening, judging by their exhausted looks.
Firefighters and other people of the same occupation are modern-day heroes but are often under-appreciated. They save lives for a living, though they often lead thankless lives. So when one day she decided to give them her thanks for helping the community, she didn’t expect that it would bring forth a series of unexpected events that would change her life forever.
