Growing up in California, Mick Menigoz was the captain of a boat used to organize whale watching tours. It was early winter and Mick had run across a humpback whale in some troubling circumstances.
For his entire life, Mick had a great affinity for whales, he felt like he was obligated to help. How could he just leave it behind? He was all on his own and he was faced with one question: how could he help without risking his own life?
