The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne Was Denied
Backstage at the 2006 Brit Awards, The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne worked up the courage to hand Prince’s bodyguard a stack of CDs, hoping that Prince himself might listen to what the band had to offer. But, as Coyne told it, “at the end of the night, the bodyguard came and found us and handed all of the CDs back. He said, “Prince doesn’t want these.””
