Sinead O’Connor helped make Prince’s song “Nothing Compares 2 U” a huge hit in 1990, but that didn’t do much to change his stance on cover songs. She had never met the musician before she made the cover of his song and when they did meet they argued with each other and the fight eventually got violent, leading to Sinead running out of his house at five in the morning.
