Prince personally had an axe to grind with Timberlake after his song “Sexy Back” reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. At an Emmy’s after party in 2006, Prince told the audience, “Whoever is claiming that they are bringing sexy back… Sexy never left!” The feud was cemented when Timberlake ridiculed Prince’s height later.
