Dick Clark’s Most Difficult Interview
Dick Clark once said that his interview with Prince on “American Bandstand” in 1980 was “one of the most difficult interviews I’ve ever conducted, and I’ve done 10,000 musician interviews.” Prince refused to answer any of Clark’s questions and instructed his band members to do the same because he heard that Clark had insulted his home town.
