Adam Levine Covered His Song
Prince was never a fan of other artists covering his songs and especially disliked when these artists put their covers up for sale, as Maroon 5 did with their cover of Prince’s hit song “Kiss.” Prince spoke on his dislike of covers saying, “Art is about building a new foundation, not just laying something on top of what’s already there.” His outspoken distaste of the cover caused the band to remove it from iTunes and Spotify.
