The memoir included one line that read, “We need to tell [music executives] that they keep trying to ram Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran down our throats and we don’t like it no matter how many times they play it.” Despite this, Perry still credits Prince as a major influence of her own work and has never had anything negative to say about Prince.
