Katherine Hepburn was an American film, stage and television actress whose career spanned over 60 years. But she was almost permanently sidelined after being arrested and taken captive by the House Un-American Activities Committee for reportedly being tied to the communist party. But despite trying to scare into not making another film again, Hepburn was well aware that they had no evidence against her and continued to work for several more decades.
