Josephine Baker
Josephine Baker’s claim to fame was in the 1920s thanks to her banana skirt dance. But although she had dual citizenship in both France and the United States, she ended up getting blacklisted from Hollywood and America for reportedly being a communist. Eventually, the US granted her entry into the country along with her 12 adopted kids. But the French entertainer and civil rights activist renounced her US citizenship and opted to remain a permanent French resident instead.
