Pete Seeger
Pete Seeger was an American folk singer who had a string of hit records during the 1950s as a member of the Weavers. But like a number of celebrities of that time period, Seeger found himself blacklisted from Hollywood for reportedly being linked to the Community party. But although he was accused of this in 1955, he claimed that he was a member of the party in the 1940s but eventually left. Despite this, he was sentenced to 10 years behind bars but received early release.
