Despite being an Oscar winner, Mira Sorvino found herself blacklisted by disgraced director Harvey Weinstein, whom she claimed made inappropriate advancements towards her. When she refused his advances, Weinstein ruined her career. Film director Peter Jackson later admitted to blacklisting Sorvino in response to a smear campaign orchestrated by Weinstein that suggested that she was a nightmare to work with. Luckily, once the truth came out, Sorvino was no longer blacklisted, but she wasn’t the only casualty of Weinstein’s lies.
