Shirley Henderson
Moaning Myrtle, the ghost who haunts the girls’ lavatory in Hogwarts was played by Shirley Henderson. At the time of filming, Henderson was already 35, a far-cry to the character she’s playing that was supposed to be 14. It didn’t matter, though, as Henderson’s youthful looks and talent in acting cemented her as one of the most iconic characters in the Potter series. When her work as Moaning Myrtle ended in ‘Goblet of Fire’, Henderson was next seen in ‘Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day’, ‘Anna Karenina’, and ‘Okja’. In 2018, Henderson got the Olivier Award for Best Actress in a Musical for the musical ‘Girl from the North Country’.
