Gemma Jones
Whenever the characters of Harry Potter get injured or sick, they all run to Madam Pomfrey, the matron of Hogwarts, who is played by veteran English actress Gemma Jones. With 60 years of a career in performing, Jones seemed to have played almost everything. Outside Harry Potter, she is well-known as Mrs. Dashwood in ‘Sense and Sensibility’ and as Bridget Jones’s mother in the ‘Bridget Jones’ movies. Jones is currently one of the most respected actresses in the UK. Her most recent credit is ‘Ammonite’, ‘Rocketman’, and ‘Bridget Jones’s Baby’ where she reprised her role as Bridget’s stern mother.
