The Staff Uniforms Were Based on Factory Workers
Director Dong-hyuk was inspired by photos of factory workers when coming up with ideas on how to make the staff uniforms for the show. He felt that the look symbolized the erasure of personality and individuality, which is what he was going for. Meanwhile, the only thing that sets the players’ uniforms apart are the individual player’s number. Other than that, the players all wear identical white t-shirts with their designated number across their chest and white sneakers.
