Tide’s ‘It’s a Tide Ad’
The brilliance of this series of ads was that it had you questioning whether or not every ad you saw was a Tide ad. The first commercial in the series asked – if you saw clean clothes in a commercial, couldn’t it be a Tide ad? Each subsequent ad started off convincingly looking like an ad for something else – Old Spice, pharmaceuticals, Mr. Clean – but then transformed into a Tide ad. If you watched it live, you really did start wondering if all the ads were Tide ads.
