Wendy’s ‘Where’s the Beef’
Some ads become so popular that they become part of the cultural lexicon. This Wendy’s ad from 1984 was meant to throw shade at competitor McDonald’s for how little actual meat is in their burgers. These senior citizens asking “Where’s the beef?” became one of the slogans of the 80s. It was even printed on t-shirts.
