Amir Mitchell-Townes joined “Girl Meets World” in the second season as Lucas’s best friend from Texas named Zay Babineaux. Mitchell-Townes had previously played a role on an episode of the show “Person of Interest,” but other than that, “Girl Meets World” was his first major acting role.
