Catelyn Stark on “Game of Thrones”
In the pilot episode of the epic HBO series “Game of Thrones,” Catelyn Stark was portrayed by actress Jennifer Ehle. The British actress was a new mother at the time of filming and she ultimately decided that she needed to focus on her family instead of taking on an emotionally taxing role, so she was replaced by Northern Irish actress Michelle Fairley.
