‘Inside Out’ – Bear Joke
Inside Out tells the story of a girl dealing with her emotions. After the protagonist Riley moves to San Francisco, she gets spooked in her new bed at night. She thinks, “What was that? Was it a bear?” Her emotions make sure to tell her that’s simply not possible: Disgust comments with, “There are no bears in San Francisco.” Anger responds with, “I saw a really hairy guy who looked like a bear.” San Francisco is known to have a large gay population and “bear” is a term for a big manly men who are gay, it’s definitely a joke for adults.
