Arnold Faked His Accent
Pat Morita, who played Arnold Takahashi on the first few seasons of the show, put on a heavy Chinese accent despite the fact that he was born in California and didn’t have an accent in real life. To make matters worse, Morita is of Japanese decent, so his accent wasn’t very authentic at all.
