The Cast Filed a Lawsuit in 2011
In 2011, some members of the cast filed a lawsuit against CBS and Paramount Pictures, who own the rights to “Happy Days,” over merchandising rights. The cast members claimed that they weren’t fairly compensated for merchandise that bore their likenesses, including new “Happy Days” themed slot machines in Las Vegas. The cast members were eventually awarded a settlement.
