A Serious Lack of Diversity
Looking back on the iconic series, it’s clear that there was a serious lack of actors of color on the show. Because it took place in the ‘50s, the show usually only brought people of color on in episodes that centered around civil rights. This is true of the inclusion of actor John Bailey as Sticks on two episodes of the show.
