Tyler Oakley began vlogging in 2007 when he was still a student at Michigan State University. Since starting his channel, he has continued to vlog but has also incorporated bigger content onto his page, like a high profile interview with Hillary Clinton, creating a series called “Going Home,” and speaking his mind about important issues in the world and specifically LGBTQ+ rights. He has even written a memoir and now has over 7 million subscribers.
