Solomon Grundy, born on a Monday, buried on a Sunday, is a DC supervillian who debuted in 1944. The hulking grey zombie-like creature often recites the nursery rhyme on which he is based and possesses superhuman strength and stamina. Grundy is also nearly invulnerable and virtually indestructible, that, coupled with his healing factor equates to Grundy being immortal.

In 1962, Marvel unveiled their own hulking grey monster named the Incredible Hulk. After being exposed to gamma rays, Dr. Bruce Banner has dealt with his raging and sometimes completely out of control alter ego, The Hulk. Shortly after his debut, Hulk went from being a grey monster to a green hulking rage-machine. Hulk’s abilities include superhuman strength and durability and also a healing factor. In most iterations, Hulk’s power coincides with his anger, the more mad he is, the stronger he becomes. Hulk smash, indeed.
