Rob McElhenney of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” fame makes a brief appearance in season eight as a member of Euron Greyjoy’s crew whom Theon kills during his rescue of Yara. McElhenney was returning the favor for Benioff and Weiss, who wrote a season nine episode of “It’s Always Sunny” and appeared in another in season 12.
