Lord save me from belters. If you’re the type of person who thinks going over the top equals emotional power, guess what: You’re stupid. Does it make you emotional when you hear Adele’s nails-on-a-chalkboard yowling? When she screams at you from the speakers in your SUV? You’re dumb. If you think Adele is good, you’re too dense for nuance. Adele will never impress anyone with restraint or subtlety. Because she lacks those qualities.
