In “House Hunters,” a couple visits three properties before choosing one to make their permanent home. But in reality, they’ve already picked their new home before the show comes to town. And in a 2012 statement to Entertainment Weekly, a representative of the show admitted that they look for families that are far along in the home-buying process, but sometimes things move too quickly, so they’ll go back and revisit the other homes that the family had considered buying.
