It’s not like Dumbledore had some grand plan for Harry or anything. But Harry’s contempt for certain people (Snape) and his ridiculous belief that he somehow knew better than everyone else in the Wizarding world — when he knew nothing of it for the first 11 years of his life — led him to act like a complete idiot most of the time.
