Strict Rules That “The Bachelor” Contestants Must Follow

The Word “Process” Is Forbidden

Warner Bros. Television Distribution

The producers not only control what the contestants read, but also how they speak. For example, the word “process” is forbidden when contestants describe their time on the show. If anyone uttered the word “process,” it would have to be edited out or the scene would have to be re-shot. Instead, contestants were encouraged to use the term “journey” to describe the show.
