Third Eye Blind’s “Semi-Charmed Life” is at least semi-cheerful sounding. But the chorus does explicitly admit something is missing: Crystal meth. That’s right: Your favorite 90s karaoke singalong is about a drug addict jonesing for their next fix. Lead singer Stephen Jenkins said the song’s pop sensibilities were purposeful, meant to symbolize meth’s surface appeal.
