Clarice Starling in “The Silence of the Lambs”
The critically acclaimed film “The Silence of the Lambs” was also a box office hit that grossed over $270 million worldwide. So, the production company started work on a sequel titled “Hannibal” that centered around Anthony Hopkins’ character. Hopkins returned for the sequel, but Clarice Starling actress Jodie Foster declined to be involved with the film, as did the original film’s director Jonathan Demme. Foster was replaced by Julianne Moore in the film.
