Ginger Grant on “Gilligan’s Island” 

Before the creators of “Gilligan’s Island” settled on actress Tina Louise to play the iconic character Ginger Grant, they considered actress Kit Smythe for the role. Smythe played Grant in an unaired pilot of the show before being replaced by Louise for the run of the series. Smythe later went on to do roles on series like “Bewitched” and “Gunsmoke.”
