Ben Weaver in “The Andy Griffith Show”
Sadly, the original actor for the character Ben Weaver, Will Wright, passed away in 1962 and he was replaced by actor Tom Avery for a season four episode of the show. Avery was then replaced by Jason Johnson for all subsequent appearances of the character, which lead to a pretty inconsistent portrayal of the character because all of these actors were of very different ages.
