Penny on “The Big Bang Theory”
Penny is a fan favorite character on the long-running series that’s a hit with science nerds, pop culture fans and everyone in between. But the character almost had an entirely different name and actress! In the pilot of the series, Sheldon and Leonard’s neighbor was named Katie and she was played by Amanda Walsh. After this pilot was filmed, producers changed the character and hired actress Kaley Cuoco.
