Courtney Love vs. Dave Grohl
You’d think that Courtney Love would be closer to her late husband’s bandmates long after his passing, but the exact opposite happened between her and Nirvana member Dave Grohl. In 1999, the two started exchanging harsh words against each other during interviews. What started out as petty fights then progressed into legal battles over Nirvana’s legacy and unreleased material. In 2001, Love sued Grohl and Krist Novoselic, Nirvana’s bassist, in an attempt to end an LLC partnership that required her and the musicians to agree on distributing the band’s unreleased material. According to Love, “Nirvana was Cobain’s one-man show.” Of course, the rest of the band disagreed with her.
