The Film Exaggerated a Lot of Things
In the film, the Tuohy family finds Michael Oher standing in the middle of a major rainstorm, soaking wet and depressed from recent events. He was freezing because his clothes were all wet from the rain. But in real-life, the Tuohy family didn’t make him their only priority after taking him into their home right away. In fact, it took a lot longer for the family to welcome Oher into their home than the movie depicts.
