According to Oher, Leigh Anne Tuohy paid him a visit at school the day after the family saw him standing in the rain. She then bought him some new clothes to make sure he would never find himself in that situation again. But none of this happened in an instant as was shown in the film, and there were other obstacles between Oher and the Tuohy family than the film portrayed.
