As Cruise’s fame began to quickly rise, he cemented his status as a bonafide Hollywood star with two important films: Top Gun and The Color of Money. Top Gun was a massive hit and would remain an iconic film for decades, eventually resulting in the release of a sequel, Top Gun: Maverick, in 2022, which was also a box office hit.
