Nelson Minkler was Ren’s childhood best friend. He was played by Gary LeRoi Gary. Nelson Minkler was only on the show briefly — 9 episodes to be exact — but he left an impression. He was always allergic to everything and would overprotect himself when he went outside because of his allergies.
