The next few days passed without incident and the big day rolled around. Jennifer felt a little nervous by then but she was comforted by Sydney who remained calm enough for them both.
The meeting went through its normal routines and then, finally, Sydney was called up. As she approached, people in the audience were startled at first and thought it was the cutest thing that such a little girl wanted to speak. They soon realized that this was not some sort of childish gimmick.
