Standstill
It felt as though time had come to a standstill. Travis heard the judge’s words, but their meaning eluded him.
“Mr. Woodsley, you are wasting my time and the time of everybody else here today. Please say something about why you are standing here today,” the judge sternly declared.
In an instant, Travis shook off his daze, his eyes widening in astonishment. “Your honor, I don’t have any offensive stickers on my car,” he protested.
