My dad is a mechanic, so I’ve been very lucky to have the importance of vehicle maintenance drilled into my head from a young age.
When my now fiancée and I were dating for about 6 months, I needed to change the oil in my car, so I asked when the last time she had changed her oil.
She had never changed it, even after owning the car for three years.
