A 28,000-Year-Old Woolly Mammoth
Yuka the Woolly Mammoth was excavated in 2010, and she is known by researchers as one of the most well preserved mammoths ever found. Even though Yuka had been on the Earth for over 28,000 years at that point, the Japanese researchers who found the body were able to extract cells from it for possible cloning endeavors.
