A Shipwreck Was Frozen in Time
In 1914, an expedition lead by explorer Ernest Shackleton set off to cross Antarctica. The frigid temperatures were ultimately too much for the crew of 28 brave souls to handle, but they didn’t perish like other ill-fated explorers. For 17 months, the group struggled to survive in the icy continent, but in the end, all 28 people returned back home to tell the tale.
