World War I Soldiers Were Stuck in Battle
As if fighting soldiers up in the freezing Alps wasn’t bad enough, these soldiers also had to fight the terrible cold weather. Sadly, some of them lost their lives not to enemy fire but to the freezing temperatures. As a result, their bodies remained preserved in the ice, where they stayed for years or even decades.
