An Ancient Object Was Preserved in Ice
Found in an ice patch, a willow bow, similar to the tool drawn in this cave painting, stunned researchers who quickly determined the object to be 340 years old. Ice patch archeologist Tom Andrews found the object that was probably used to hunt elk and reindeer. After taking aerial photos of the ice patches and traveling via helicopter to the site, his team was able to make many incredible discoveries in the ice.
